The price tag of these manufacturer lenses made me look into 3rd party options like Tokina and Sigma. The Tokina 11-20mm is as good optically as Nikon and Canon’s lenses, and it’s faster (f/2.8) and much tougher. I’ve used this glass, and apart from the slight barrel distortion, there is nothing to worry about.

That is one fantastic prime! For $199.95, this lens is a must-have for anyone shooting a crop sensor camera outdoors. A no-brainer for sure.
