Quote: “If a writer stops observing he is finished. Experience is communicated by small details intimately observed.”
— Ernest Hemingway (would this apply to photography also?)

Thought for the day – Eclipse photography 2:
There is a total eclipse of the MOON on Sunday evening 15 May (begins about 6 pm in the Pacific Time Zone).
There are many lunar eclipse photos. They are easy to make and you can make them almost anywhere. No need to travel to a mountain top or a distant desert. I’ve made award-winning lunar eclipse photos from my steps and under a street light.
But to make your eclipse picture more interesting consider the foreground. Perhaps have an interesting: bridge, church steeple, waterfall, mountain, rock, someone doing cosplay, etc. in the foreground.
If you want stars or metros in your picture look up the Rule of 500 for astrophotography. Play around with focal length, ISO and exposure.
