Thought for the day:
I’ve been taking macros of flowers using various cameras and lenses. I kept having the shadow of me and the gear mess up the photos. Recently, I thought to remove the lens hood — much more light!
Most of the time a lens hood is useful. I use it as a bump protector more than a flare preventer. But this was the exception.
